DanceMasters is one of the most important international events organized in Romania. It takes place this year between March 30th and April 1st in Bucharest at Sala Polivalenta.
Over 1500 dancers from 26 countries will compete in front of 55 referees in 45 competitions organized by age category and dance class.
Starting with 2004 every year in Bucharest the prestigious DanceMasters, an International Open dancesport tournament, gathers top dancers from all over the world. Thus, the event is one of the strongest dance competitions from Central and Eastern Europe. The World DanceSport Federation grants coefficient to tournaments. For this reason, DanceMasters is honored to have:
- 2.15 coefficient for WDSF World Open Latin
- 2.0 coefficient for WDSF World Open Standard
DanceMasters Competition Calendar
On Friday, March 30th there will be national competitions for beginners and absolute beginners. Parents and grandparents will be seeing the little dancers having a blast. There is no doubt the sporting enthusiasm and home-grown talent is here to stay!
On Saturday, March 31st and Sunday, April 1st are scheduled both national and international competitions. From 9 AM until midnight, the dancers will lay down their elegant moves for Standard and their sparkling routines for Latin. Surely, smoothness and seduction will blend in the same room.
Special shows
During the breaks between the categories, the organizers have prepared special dance shows and dance moments to delight the audience. At this edition, a moment dedicated to Titus Munteanu will touch the audience. For those who did not know, he was a TV personality and a real supporter of the dancesport in Romania. The organizers will offer the complete amateurs a chance to compete in Viennese waltz.
The Gala Programs include World Top 10 dancers, the crème de la crème of competitors. It will start at 7:30 PM. Romania celebrates this year the 100th anniversary of the Great Union Day. Dance Masters celebrates also their 15th edition. Thus, you will witness during the two Galas some special shows.
